The Music Bridge International Art Competition and Festival will be held from Januar to March , 2024. in Vienna — the world capital of music.

Aims & goals:

The main purpose of the NEW online International Competition and Festival » MUSIC BRIDGE » is to bring interesting young talents from all around the world together on the NEW digital platform without travelling abroad to present their skills and cultural traditions, to build collaboration among participating performers, to continue engaging with International festivals

International Art Competition and Festival Music Bridge is a competition-festival that is regularly held in Vienna — the world capital of music. Since 2020, it also begins to exist as a multi-genre digital festival.

During the global crisis associated with the outbreak of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, and in accordance with government measures taken to restrict movement around the world, a NEW concept and form of the festival is launched: ONLINE MUSIC COMPETITION — FESTIVAL with the possibility of remote participation. The previous form and standards of the International Competition and Festival have been adapted and transferred to the online platform, which makes it possible to participate online without traveling abroad, creating a NEW alternative space and opportunities for participants.

The festival provides an opportunity to show your skills to a professional international jury, an opportunity for international dialogue, uniting on a NEW online platform, establishing NEW international friendly and creative contacts, enriching a multinational culture based on mutual respect for the cultural traditions of all countries and peoples of the world. In the current difficult and unstable situation associated with travel abroad, we understand how important it is to show that we are still united, and we still believe in the power of art, with our enduring desire to make our contribution to this world and to art. in the popularization of different cultures, in the exchange of experience and creative achievements between participants from different countries in any way possible. We are creating a new way to bring all our participants together — we are creating ONLINE FESTIVAL BRIDGES to connect all countries and peoples again.

Competitive and festival disciplines:

SOLOISTS / DUETS – 1 short-video performance up to 5 minutes long

SMALL FORMATIONS (up to 7 persons) – 1 short-video performance up to 5 minutes long

ENSEMBLES AND ART GROUPS (up to 14 persons) – 1 short-video performance up to 8 minutes long

ENSEMBLES AND ART GROUPS (15 and more persons) – 1 short-video performance up to 10 minutes long

FINE ARTS & CRAFTS – 1-2 works (photos or scans / see more details in in TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS)

Official Closing Ceremony includes the publishing of the whole online concert on the official YouTube channel of organizers as well as the GALA CONCERT of the winners (best chosen performers).

THEATRE / DRAMATIC ART (drama, musicals, puppetry, theatrical miniatures, fragments from plays, recitation, etc.)

FOLKLORE (folk and ethnographic groups and soloists).

The order of the online festival and competition program:

1.The competition and festival is held in the form of an online competition and a festival with remote participation.

2.Acceptance of applications is carried out in the period from the date of opening the acceptance of applications until the deadline for acceptance of applications.

3.Creative collectives, ensembles, collectives, music and art schools, cultural centers and institutions, as well as soloists and small forms (duets, trios and groups of up to 7 people), who timely and duly applied and paid the registration fee, are allowed to participate online -competition and festival.

4.The competition program of participants is approved by the Organizing Committee on the basis of received and paid applications before the official deadline for submission.

5.Applications must be submitted with all mandatory information about the performer (s) filled in and are used to issue official diplomas and award certificates for medals.

6.Artistic directors, art directors, conductors, teachers, accompanists will also be awarded with Letters of Gratitude. For remote participation, it is necessary to indicate in the application a link to the video material that will be used to participate in the competitive program of the online festival (see Additional information in the TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS). All video performances selected for participation in the competition and festival program are assessed by the International Jury Committee, which includes world-renowned cultural and art workers, according to a 10-point assessment system.

7.Members of the International Jury Committee review and evaluate the competitive performances online. The jury assesses mastery and skills, technique, artistry, originality of interpretation and costumes, complexity and choice of repertoire, correspondence of the chosen repertoire to the age and capabilities of the performer, general stage impression.

8.The jury’s decisions are not subject to appeal. The results of the online competition and the Music Bridge festival, as judged by the jury, will be announced 10 working days after the deadline for applications.

9.The Jury members have no right to announce the results of the online competition and festival before their official announcement and publication. All participants must prepare and send a link to their short video recording of the competition and festival program with a repertoire of their choice.
