Annual International Choir Festival

The SINGING PLANET Festival is held in order to popularize the art of choral singing, to acquaint the European public with the creativity and performing skills of choirs from different countries of the world, as well as to develop creative ties between choral groups from countries of the world, expand the repertoire of choral groups, create new creative contacts, exchange of experience. The festivals are widely covered in the media, have a pronounced social orientation, and regularly receive support from the authorities and cultural institutions of the regions where they are held.

As part of the event, competitive auditions, creative meetings between groups, master classes, advanced training seminars for teachers, consultations on further professional training, an award ceremony and a gala concert, an excursion program to the main attractions of Austria will take place.
Main goals:
- Joint performances by ensembles and choral groups of different directions and styles, performing music of different eras in different languages;
- Creation of a creative atmosphere for professional communication of the festival participants, exchange of experience and repertoire;
- Joint performances of professional and amateur choirs from around the world; Creation of an atmosphere of communication between festival participants and listeners to create subsequent contacts in the field of choral singing;
- Discovery of new names and talents in the field of choral singing;
- Involvement of music producers and managers for the organization of subsequent touring and concert activities of the festival participants;
- Conducting a number of concerts in cathedrals and churches in Vienna to increase the interest of the general public in sacred music;
- education of universal human values, positive social attitudes of the younger generation, familiarizing as many people as possible with the best traditions of culture and art, incl. among children, youth, parents, people of active and retirement age;
- raising the level of education of participants in the fields of art, conducting master classes with the best domestic and foreign masters;
- attraction of pupils of orphanages, children and adults with disabilities to art classes; coverage of the participants’ creativity in the media;
- creating conditions for communication and exchange of experience for teachers and students of creative associations in different countries.
